PSA Marine Bureau offers Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services for shipboard, industrial, and manufacturing customers. Our inspectors are highly trained to assure compliance with the maritime & industrial requirements.

Method of Inspection:

• Close-up surveys using traditional ways of inspection (scaffoldings, ladders etc.)
• Remote inspection technique (RIT) made by experienced NDT surveyors, so as to avoid excessive money and time.

Visual Testing (VT)

Visual testing is one of the most used NDT methods, immediately evaluating the nondestructive method which should be established further on.

Penetrant Testing (PT)

This examination consists of applying a dye penetrant on the examined surface. After penetration time, the developer is applied. Identification of all defects opened to the surface, including the ones that can not be seen on visual examination.

Magneting Testing (MT)

Magnetic particle testing is indicated for detecting surface and its vicinity’s defects. The technique exploits a special feature of ferrous alloys – ferromagnetism; in the surface defect.

Ultrasonic Testing – Pulse-Echo
Method (UT)

Identification of internal defects in welds, metal, plastics, ceramics, glass with application in examination of plates, castings and forgings.
